| Barium Ferrite (BaFe) is a natural crystal that does not absorb moisture, does not corrode, and does not undergo chemical change. Unlike magnetic particles (MP), BaFe does not have to be surface treated, does not have to be chemically stabilized, nor does it have to be maintained in a tightly controlled environment.
These properties of BaFe make it corrosion-resistant, moisture insensitive, and extremely stabile in adverse environments. In addition to it's environmental stability it offers exceptional magnetic capabilities. It is better than MP because the user can be more lax in it's environmental use.
