Arkival Technology leases Class A-equivalent office and light manufacturing space in Nashua, NH. The leased facility has been equipped with test and laboratory equipment, an assortment of magnetic tape and optical disc testing equipment, and QC equipment. R&D work is done in a 1200-1500 sq. ft space equipped with a laminar flow area, clean workbenches, environmental chambers and other company owned test equipment. A small chemistry lab contains capabilities for special on-site requirements.

Supporting the magnetic and optical work is a company owned vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), several professional video recorders and optical and magnetic test equipment. The company regularly contracts specific media defect studies and detailed electron microscopic services locally.

The lab contains several computer workstations, servers with large Gb RAID storage configured for data and video recording and processing with tape backup and CDR drives for data transfer. The workstations are used for software development, experimental analysis and modeling. Several high density data storage systems, videotape and optical disc players are also available for lab work and development. The lab also has spectrum analyzers, assorted printers, scanners, and cameras. Software includes programs and toolboxes from Matlab, licenses for Microsoft Visual C++ Development Studio and several programs developed in-lab for the reading, display and manipulation of digital data and video.

The Environmental Laboratory contains several environmental chambers for small to medium sized components and test systems. The units provide acclimatization cycling with real time temperature humidity monitoring. The chambers can be configured to special equipment requirements and testing.
